One of the most creative conversations we had at the Chicago Streetwear Expo came from artist and designer Julia Giovanna, whose work blends visual art, fashion culture, and streetwear aesthetics into something instantly recognizable.
When we asked vendors and creators what their dream luxury collaboration would be, Julia had multiple answers ready immediately:
Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Supreme.
But when forced to pick just one?
Supreme won.
Specifically for a beanie collaboration.
And honestly, that answer felt incredibly on-brand for the entire vibe of the Chicago Streetwear Expo. It wasn’t about chasing the most expensive logo possible. It was about creating something people would actually wear, collect, and recognize instantly in street culture.
Julia Giovanna’s work fits perfectly into that world where art collides with fashion, skate culture, design, and independent creator energy. The event itself became a reminder that Chicago’s creative scene has artists capable of thinking on the same wavelength as globally recognized brands while still maintaining their own identity.
