Trap Stars New Buffalo Review: The Superb Switch Live Rosin Vape That Won Over the Room
A quick stop at Trap Stars in New Buffalo turned into a funny, unsolicited Superb Cannabis Co. vape recommendation when three budtenders pulled out their own favorites.
We walked into Trap Stars in New Buffalo, Michigan, with a simple question: What vape do you recommend?
One budtender gave us the most reliable answer possible: “I won’t recommend anything I wouldn’t use myself.”
Then he pulled out his own vape.
And, right on cue, the other two bystanders produced theirs.
For a moment, it felt less like asking for a product recommendation and more like accidentally triggering a perfectly rehearsed Superb Cannabis Co. fan-club meeting. Three people, three personal vapes, one shared opinion: they use Superb, they like Superb, and Superb is their favorite.
Nobody had to hand out talking points. Nobody needed a brand ambassador badge. The budtenders had brought the testimonials in their pockets.
The Superb Switch Live Rosin Vape
The products in our photos are Superb Switch live rosin vapes. The packages describe the device as 1 gram, two chambers, three ways to enjoy a setup built around two separate strains and the option to combine them. The exact switch controls and available combinations may vary by product, so check the package or ask the dispensary staff before using it.
Superb Cannabis Co. describes its approach as small-batch, solventless and terpene-rich. Live rosin is made from fresh frozen cannabis that is washed to collect resin glands, then pressed with heat and pressure; the process uses no chemical solvents.
The Switch idea adds variety to that format: choose one chamber, the other, or mix the two. In other words, it’s a tiny two-strain committee meeting where the consumer gets the deciding vote.
The Strains and Terpene Profiles on Our Packages
The photos show two pairings:
Guava the Hutt × Han Solo Burger — the packaging lists terpene profiles for both chambers, with total terpene figures shown as 6.8% and 3%.
Cereal Milk × Rainbow Push Pop #4 — the package lists 3.5% and 4.2% total terpenes for the two chambers.
The labels name terpenes including caryophyllene, humulene, limonene and myrcene. Those are part of what gives each cultivar its aroma and flavor character. The playful strain names hint at very different lanes: tropical fruit and a little Star Wars mischief on one package; sweet, creamy cereal and candy like Rainbow Push Pop on the other.
A Michigan retailer lists the Cereal Milk × Rainbow Push Pop pairing as a 1-gram live rosin disposable, while other Superb Switch combinations appearing in menus include Guava the Hutt × Han Solo Burger and Mandarin Lantz × Strawberry Pie. Menus change by store and batch, so the current selection can vary.
We haven’t included tasting notes here because the memorable part of this visit was the group recommendation, not a detailed product test. The strongest review of the vape came from the people who were already carrying one.

Trap Stars New Buffalo: A Recommendation From the Customers
Trap Stars is at 13964 Grand Avenue, New Buffalo, MI 49117, near the Indiana border. The store lists its phone number as (269) 231-3131 and carries categories including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates and edibles. Its contact page lists daily hours of 9 a.m. to 8:15 p.m.
The funniest part of our stop was how naturally the recommendation unfolded. We asked what someone liked. One budtender answered with the standard of evidence we can respect: I use it myself. Then the room supplied three separate exhibits.
That’s a pretty persuasive product demo, even if nobody planned one.
So, if you find yourself in Trap Stars asking about the Superb Switch, you may get a useful explanation from the staffand, apparently, there’s a chance the customers nearby will start producing their own vapes like the opening notes of a very specific orchestra.
One important Michigan travel note: Trap Stars’ site says recreational products are for adults 21 and older and that cannabis cannot be transported across state lines.
F’nAround verdict: We went in looking for a vape recommendation and got an impromptu Superb testimonial panel. The best part was the timing: one person said he wouldn’t recommend a vape he didn’t use, and the other two immediately backed him up with their own. That’s not a sales pitch. That’s a chorus.
