🍜 Rating: 7 Fucks Given (8 for food, 3 for service)
We hit up Strings Ramen yesterday, me and my brother rolled in ready to slurp, and it didn’t disappoint… mostly. He gave it 8 fucks for the food, 3 for the service. The wait was long (usually a good sign), but the service was moving slower than a dial-up connection.
No Wi-Fi or cell service, QR-code menus only which is great if you’re into scanning barcodes like it’s a scavenger hunt with proper service. They do have physical menus available, but apparently, you need to ask like it’s a secret handshake and they are limited.
The food though? Worth it. He had the pork belly with black garlic broth which was rich, heavy, perfect. I got the Pork Belly Buster because that’s exactly the kind of decision I make. We split some pork dumplings and a single pitcher of water like two dudes rationing hydration in a ramen apocalypse.
Worth mentioning I got my food a good ten minutes before my brother and if I were on a date, my meat would’ve been colder than her “just friends” text.
We decided next time we’re going all in with one massive bowl, mix his black garlic broth with my pork belly and rice so his flavor fuels mine and my pork blesses his broth.
All in all, 7 Fucks Given great ramen, questionable cell service, and enough pork belly to forgive most of it.
