Ignotz

Went to Ignotz on a night so cold it felt personal. The weather absolutely worked against them, food has to be walked across a corridor like it’s in witness protection, and by the time it lands, it’s already thinking about retirement. That said, the portions were hearty, the service was genuinely great, and the grilled octopus special was to die for perfectly cooked, no rubber band nonsense, absolute standout.

Now the downside: the vibe took a hit. The weather didn’t help, but the super sexist bathroom artwork definitely knocked things down a peg. It’s one of those “why is this here in a nice restaurant?” moments that instantly lowers the standard and makes you question who signed off on it.

So where does that leave us?

Good food. Solid service. A killer octopus.

But cold logistics and a bathroom choice that belongs in 1974.

Final score: 6 fucks given.

🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

I’d go back… for the octopus.

I’d skip the bathroom art and maybe bring a coat.
