hot water

Today, I finally have gas, hot water, and heat back on. After months of cold showers, busted pipes, and sleepless nights since May (aside from one bachelor party weekend), it’s surreal to be warm again. Why did it take this long? Because my battle with nuEra wasn’t just about contracts—it became a fight for survival.

When nuEra breached our agreements, it didn’t end with just broken promises. It felt like a calculated effort to break me personally, beyond the business realm. Recently, more evidence has surfaced that backs up my claims. While I can’t name names, the last names will be obvious to those who know the players. One document specifically describes me as “crazy” and expresses hope that I would “get the help [I] need.” All of this happened before I went public, revealing that the campaign to discredit me was in motion long before I told my side. It wasn’t just business; it was an orchestrated attempt to control the narrative and undermine me at every level. These weren’t isolated incidents—they were part of a broader strategy to silence me before I could speak out.

As the battle wore on, I found myself struggling to keep up with even the most basic necessities. My savings dried up, and trying to repair the damage to my property during winter became nearly impossible. I had no leverage, no assets left to seize, but what I did have was resilience. Despite everything, allies stood by my side and helped me start to rebuild.

Juan, my close ally in this journey, summed it up best: “This is what corporations do—they gaslight, blacklist, and leave us to fight for scraps. They hold power by crushing anyone who speaks up.” His words reflect the broader, systemic issue that extends far beyond my own experience.

But this isn’t just about me. It’s about everyone who’s been used, marginalized, and silenced while those in power continue to profit. They count on our fear and silence. They never expected someone like me—who won’t back down, who can’t be leveraged by debt, and who refuses to quit.

With my heat back on, I want to make one thing clear: I’m not going anywhere. My story is loud, not because I crave attention, but because it’s the truth. And yes, I have the receipts to prove it. I’ve just begun opening the drawers.

The F'nAround podcast, where I dive even deeper into these issues, is now airing on iHeartRadio & Live365 (A SoundStack Company) every Saturday at 4 PM starting next week. I hope you’ll tune in to hear not just my story, but the stories of others who’ve faced similar battles. Catch up now at fnaround.com

And for those who’ve always talked about helping marginalized communities “break the glass ceiling”… I never really understood that. Why break the glass ceiling when you can drop the bottom line on the corporations?

Craft cares, corporate doesn’t.
Speak your truth.
