F’nAround at the Flower Expo: Pick a Brain, Grow a Garden

One of our favorite parts of conferences has nothing to do with the panels, the booths, or even the shiny new products vendors are eager to showcase or give us. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good free tote bag as much as the next person, Fernway had the coolest Fanny pack ever, but the real highlight? Interacting with people. Sometimes they’re professionals, sometimes they’re celebrities, and sometimes they’re just someone who wandered in because they heard there’d be free samples.

Our very own F’nAround Mike is basically a walking “growth mindset” bumper sticker. He doesn’t just want to pick people’s brains, he wants to plant ideas, water them, and see if they bloom into something weird, useful, or occasionally terrifying. And sometimes, if we’re lucky, they pick our brain right back. (It’s like speed-dating, except with slightly more cannabis in this story and slightly fewer regrets.)

At the Flower Expo, we got one of those surreal moments: a chat with none other than Jim Belushi. Yes, that Jim Belushi. Not only did he drop some sage advice on podcasting and media work, but he also passed along a nugget of wisdom his buddy Bobby Lee once gave him. So now we’re basically two degrees away from Bobby Lee life lessons, which we’re pretty sure qualifies as a PhD in comedy networking.

The takeaway? We never stop learning, and we never stop growing. Every piece of advice, whether it comes from a Hollywood actor, a stand-up comic, or the guy who insists he invented “edible hummus” is fuel for expansion.

So yes: we’ll stay funny, we’ll stay brave, and we’ll keep picking brains (with permission). After all, F’nAround isn’t just a name… it’s a full-time lifestyle choice.

Thank you to the Flower Expo for having us and teaching us not just about cannabis but about comedy and staying true to who we are!
