Jimmy John’s Greek Menu Review

Jimmy John’s Greek Menu Review (Chicago Greektown Edition)

Tried the new Greek menu at Jimmy John’s and… location might’ve been their worst possible test case.

When you grow up around Greektown and actual Greek restaurants, this just isn’t going to hit the same. The pita was solid, but the meat leaned dry with more fat than flavor, and it never really crossed into “gyro” territory, it just kind of visited and left.

The cucumber salad? Tiny. But for under $3, it gets a pass.

Ironically, the best item on the menu might be the day-old bread for $0.50, which feels like the most honest thing Jimmy John’s has ever offered.

Now, to be fair, if you’ve never had real Greek food, this isn’t bad at all. It’s actually a decent, fast, safe version of it. But if you have had the real thing… this feels like watching a cover band perform in the original artist’s hometown.

And that’s really the issue, this isn’t a bad menu.

It just had the unfortunate luck of launching in Greektown, Chicago.

Also, the in-store signs? Low-key the highlight of the visit.

Would I get it again? Probably not.

Would someone in a Greek-food desert enjoy it? Absolutely.
